Hardinge TM Vise upgrade

Anyone upgrade the vise on their TM/UM?

I have the original which is OK, but was thinking larger might be nicer. Not sure whats too big though, 5" seems like a good max to me but I'm just blindly guessing.
 
I think you are correct. Even that will look pretty big on that table. 6 inch would just be crazy big. May even interfere with your hand wheel.m

I still have the original vice on mine, but have been contemplating as well.

Swivel base bolt pattern 9"

I'd get that sander away from your mill. Or,carefully cover the mill when the sander is in use.
 
That sander is mounted on a base with wheels and gets rolled into the center of the shop when in use. The mill usually has a sheet on it to keep the dust off. My shop is only 20' x 24' so all the small pieces of equipment are portable including a bench grinder and arbor press on one roll-away, a die filer on another and an Atlas shaper on a fourth along with horizontal and vertical band saws and table saw. Actually, only my two lathes, horizontal and BP mills, drill press and surface grinder are permanently mounted.
