Does anybody here have experience in running a screw machine? This is a grinding fixture for box tools I believe. What's the process of using one of these?
Top angle and top rake. Research “ BOYAR SCHULTZ MODEL G BOX TOOL BIT UNIVERSAL GRINDING FIXTURE MACHINE SHARPEN“.
We used to grind them like most other tool bits, by hand. I still have some angle gages in the top drawers of my box. (No telling when I might pick up a used box tool, preferably with rollers).
The tool holder arotates 45 degrees. 2 small bevels gears inside the post. It has built in clearance which can be fine tuned with a grub screw. It's pretty neat tool just not sure if there is much use for it outside of box tools.
