Great Site on Cutting Threads on a Lathe

One thing I noticed is the excessive length. That much between centers will likely push off and create taper, large in the middle. Of course, the operator used a chaser to finish the thread, but that thread would never gage correctly. Lathes are fully capable of machining a thread complete, no die or chaser required. There are other things I do differently from this operator, but mostly just preference.
