I am looking to purchase one of these mill but was concerned about low speed torque. Is there enough torques for tapping holes up to 1/2 inch at say 70 rpm? Is the Z axis difficult to tram and does it hold the setting over time? If anyone owns one of these machines or has experience with them, any info would be greatly appreciated. New to machining and looking to purchase good mill for medium machine work. Really want a small knee machine without breaking the bank and want to avoid buyer's remorse. Thanks.

Welcome to Hobby-Machinist! Both of those machines only go down to 200 rpm, a bit fast for tapping, regardless of the torque... If you want 70 rpm with torque, get a Bridgeport or clone. You can probably get a nice used one for about the same money.

Neither of them go bellow 200 rpm., nor do they have a belt or gear reduction system, so its very unlikely they will have much torque at the lower end.
