Now that I have been studying this Foley 357, I am now looking to see if I can find a chart that is supposedly issued with the Foley 357 carbide grinder.

It is used for determining the hook angle and the top angle of the blade on the machine when grinding. I have the machine all cleaned up and actually ready to go. I have set the zero points for the top angle and the blade face angle but have not been able to find the information as to how to set these angles for grinding.

I don't know how to post a photo of it here, but I have one.

Apparently it is based on a distance setting engraved on a gauge mounted on the side of the machine. The book does not include this chart. It gives one example of a 30° hook angle and a 14° top angle and the settings for that but other than that I have no idea how to set the different distances for the angles.

Any help on this particular problem would be most appreciated.image.jpeg
