Very neat. Are you using your own design or patterning it after a pre-existing one? Threaded or pin on? If threads what kind? I guess I am asking for more details. :biggrin:

my own design, i know the old m16 had the rings around it and so my son liked that idea so i just a chucked a piece and started turning untill i got the outline made that he liked:biggrin:

its a pin on which i'm sure is going to be tricky do that i thought about maybe silver soddering it i know the mausers used alot of silver sodder:biggrin:

yes i'm pretty sure it was a redue by the gibbs rifle compay when they were in business http://www.gibbsrifle.com/historical_remakes.html

The Gibbs repro is ok to mess with. I was just going to suggest not messing with it if it was an original jungle carbine.
