ER25 Collet Interchangability

If I purchase a ER25 collet chuck from one manufacturer will it be compatible with inserts from another manufacturer?

The "ER" collets are a standard. So Yes, unless a MFG chose not to follow the standard, which means they really shouldn't/can't call them ER collets.
