I have been in the cabinet and millwork industry for 41 years. I can tell you ,it doesn't matter how much suction or the size of the dust extraction system you will still get dust everywhere.
My best advise is to where a N95 mask when sanding or cutting. Dust in the lungs is not a good thing.
Also my post above about Festool. I use this machine and the orbital sander that goes with it every day to make dollars. They are a lot of money for a hobbyist. I don't have any other Festool equipment, it is just too expensive.
