Disc brake caliper bracket

We need to water jet a new mounting bracket to mount a disc brake caliper for the front rotors. Should we use 6061, or 7075 aluminum?
 
I've always heard 7075 was the strength of steel but the weight of aluminum. On my cnc mill it cuts the same as 6061.

For the small amount of material you will need and considering it's a safely item I wouldn't even consider 6062.

Suggests that 7000 series is your best option.

Another source that I've now lost indicated that 7075 T6 machines better than 6061 T6

(Note that the automobile technology page ignore machining as an important manufacturing property.)

says that anodizing of 7075 after machining is NOT something to do.

Anyone know why?
