Has anyone set up or made tooling for a Di-Acro Model 2 or similar bender?

I recently acquired a used one without tooling or stand, and want to refurbish it and start acquiring dies and other tooling. The manufacturer (yes, they are still being made) publishes a manual showing how to use it

as well as an instruction manual

There is also a page containing information and tips about how to restore them

The basic machine can so some simple bends, but special dies are required for more advanced work. Once I get the machine set up, I would like to try making some dies because they are quite expensive to buy.

Cheers!

Dies are pretty simple. I've in the past made special tube bender sets for re-makng head sheet return bends for heat exchangers. For short runs they can frequently be glue-ups of baltic plywood.

I know this is an old thread, but I recently purchased a Diacro #2 and been slowly acquiring and building tooling. I'm trying to fabricate AC lines for my mustang build and the goal is to hide the lines in the fender well. This requires some tight radius bends which the dies I bought will do a 1-3/4 R on 5/8 od tubing. My problem is I need to do back to back bends closely together.

Any pictures of setups or crush bend dies would be appreciated!

Best,

Taki
