Darex E90 question

I have a Darex E90 end mill sharpener. When I use the bolt handle lever to move my end mill in to make a cut on a flute the feed knob moves in. After cutting each flute it will move about .001" in. Has anyone come across this issue? Everything seems tight and lubed up, but I can’t keep it from stepping in. Any help would be much appreciated.
