Dad’s older than me Black and Decker drill and stand

Yesterday we did a bit of clearing out dad’s locker in the retirement home and I brought home his B&D drill and stand. I know he had it before he got married in 1960. Today did a lube job on the drill and took a couple photos for your viewing pleasure.

I have a similar setup, but not quite as old. Mine was most likely made in the mid 70’s

One like that tried to electrocute me when I was a kid. The ones that I have now are Thor brand, and are WW-2 vintage, both stamped with the US Navy anchor stamp.

We have one like this, 5/8 capacity chuck.

If used freehand it will not stop for much.
