I have a question about the set screw on the movable jaw. Took the jaw off to inspect adn do a little cleaning. Put it back on. Tightended the set screw, back off 1/8 turn, close the jaws some what tight and there is still some movement in the movable jaws. I think this is normal but wanted to ask here and make sure.

Yes, you want a very slight amount of play. That lets the slide pull down, when tightened.
Did you grease the half round, on the underside of the slide?

No I didn't it was very clean and the the half round was already full of grease so I didn't remove it.
