Look up the repair parts from Grizzly. Pick a lathe, like the gunsmith 4003, IIRC, they were in the $10 range. That was the cheapest I found looking around a few years back, one of these days I will get around to ordering the 2 that I need.
I've never had to replace any cam lock pins but when I searched for them in the past, I also found them to be too expensive (IMO) for what they are & not commonly available everywhere. I was thinking to try & make my own backplates for various projects. But for the price of the pins & material plus the amount of work to make an adapter I happy to just purchase blank adapters.
I never did bother to check Grizzly though, I don't like buying directly from them, their shipping costs are way too high IMO.
Keep your eyes open on eBay for a unpopular backing plate, dog plate, whatever, that also has the pins. Some have free shipping and can e had pretty cheap.
