Some time ago someone had designed and built a modified cross slide lead screw assembly to replace the one that came with the H.F. 9 x 20 lathe. Whoever it was offered it to owners of the 9 x 20 for a price. Although there are plans or information on the internet to make your own there are those of us (like myself) that don't have the resources or experience to achieve such a task.
This modification employed a ball bearing and a larger lead screw O.D. that from what I'm told improved the smoothness of it's operation.
Does anyone out there have any information or know if this mod is available.
