Crate Wood Shelf Unit

Looks great!
Sometimes you can get some pretty nice wood from crates and pallets. Back when I ran the wood shop, I was always harvesting pallet wood. I found boards of straight grain Oak, Ash, even some Birdseye and Flame Maple!

i too have found beauty in pallet woods. i found some pallets from mexico that were made from a species of oak i have never seen.
the wood is very light but dense, a beautiful pale yellow with blue highlights on most of the pieces
it had the distinct smell of oak when cutting, the only reason to indicate to me the type of wood

Yes, add some diagonal bracing, I agree with above.

I have a few little empty spaces in the shop and should do something similar for shelves to make them useful.
