I'm more of a home hobby guy.
same here. Tried a local MakerSpace but that didn't work out so well.
I have ave brushes on order from Little Machine Shop but filled the existing ones and so far, no over current alarms. Certainly, at low RPM, the motor us pretty easily stalled.
Ive ordered some MbS2 that I was thinking of combining with an aluminum filled epoxy to see about trying some cast leadscrew nuts. I found the original patent for Moglice which actually gives some specific data on different preps.
LMS has a 16" bed upgrade with everything included (ie casting, leadscrew, chip tray) for $169 I might give that a try sometime.
