Drive shaft to hammer. I would swap drive shaft to my son Volvo PV, as he had managed to bend it on winter roads . ? ? More on that I do not get enlightened !
So I bought another one, but it was also skewed , much more lopsided !
So then I had a nice steel shaft to make a hammer, which I needed for my chuck demintering . But it would be a copper hammer, so I had to weld on two copper pieces at each end. "Ever so wrong that it is not good for anything " !
Then just superb :

Great idea, one more project to do today........

YEEEAhaw, I just made brass, and it seems appropriate on this thread.

Thanks for positive feedback!

I also repaired the old axle, with a sledgehammer and 20 strokes. It was approx. 1 millimeter out of alignment, and I got it down to 0.15 mm.
After mounting the brakes are smooth and fine, no noise, like it was before.
Since this is quality axelsteel from Sweden, i think it will go well.
I do the measuring in my lathe befor I put the axel in.
