Collet Holder Angle: Less Than Nominal?

I'm making an adapter for my 3PN collets. The published nominal angle is 20 degrees. I've read in several places that the internal angle in a collet holder should be a tiny bit less than the angle of the collet itself so that front of the collet contacts the socket first. This makes sense, but I can't find it in a specification or on a drawing anywhere (for any type of collet, not just 3PNs). It's also not clear whether this should be in the socket or that the socket should be ground to the nominal angle with this difference being built into the collets. Links? Opinions?
