does anybody out there knows how to rewire a clausing 13" 480 volt to 240 please help

Provided the motor is a dual voltage motor, and chances are it is, the main problem is getting the correct heaters in the overload protection part of the contactors. You should look at the data plate on the motor itself to see that it is a dual voltage motor, and see that the wiring changes at the motor are clearly spelled out. Let's start there, and see where we should go.

it is dual voltage and have done the changing of the wiring but all i get us a humm but no turn of the motor ???????

Are you supplying 3 phase current to the motor? Have you traced the wiring per diagram through the contactors and made the appropriate changes in the low voltage control circuit? There typically is a transformer with a high voltage primary (originally 480 in your case) that has multiple taps to allow you to drop to another tap when you change the supply voltage. It must match the input voltage.
