[Mill] Brown And Sharpe #2 Mill Manufacture Date

I am going up to look at a B&S # 2 mill, serial number 8242 next week. Is there any way to tell when the machine was built?

My immediate guess is around 1930's. Two places you can look for more information. 1) the yahoo Brown & Sharpe Mill group. 2) Get a hold of John Oder on the Practical Machinists Forum. He can date it to the year it was born for you.
