Guys are these handy to have for those certain projects,watch acouple of utubes using a fly cutter and it looks like it would be good for gear making.Just wondering----kroll
 
I've had my eye on those for a while now. As of yet, I haven't found the need to pull the trigger for one. So far, all my needs have been met by simply positioning the part to use the vertical spindle. It would seem that you would lose some rigidity when using an angle head too. I so badly wanted to justify the purchase, but as of yet, I've not found the justification.

Wouldn't you use them to use the BP as a horiz mill? I think it's cool how they space the cutters and the like when cutting multiple slots or what have you, in a single pass. But I aint sure what I would really "need" one for. I would love to see how folks have used them though
