Best way to clean Thread files

IS there a good way to clean these tiny files? My bigger file brush doesn't seem to get in between the spaces and my thread files get gunked up very easy.

A piece of soft iron sheet. Use the edge to clean the file grooves by rubbing the file the same direction as the grooves. Railroad chalk on a clean dry file will keep the loading and pinning down in the future

Stir them in a cup of mineral spirits then blow off with compressed air.

Piece of flattened copper pipe across the teeth works well too, and chalk sits on my rack full of files...

Do you mean 60 Deg, included angle triangular files or the thread specific files sold in hardware stores?

A piece of bamboo scrap in my case. Not sure whether resinous wood would work.

I saw someone made a neat little tool with bamboo at the end clamped in there. That looked pretty neat. If the original maker of these could make me one it would be awesome. Yes I mean the small triangular 60 degree file.

Works great. Where would I get bamboo. I'd like to try that.

My bamboo came from a piece of flooring. Maybe a flooring outlet would let you have some obsolete samples or scraps.

Coarse grained wood like oak or ash might work too.
