Yes I made them. The end mill side uses the guts of a spin index. The cross slide that is under what you can see in the picture controls depth of cut. The horizontal cutter side uses a screw to advance the DOC on the slide bar.

I'll see if I can find anything. I still have the foundry patterns, I think. I seldom throw them away.
 
I picked one up on Craigs list last yr with some attachments for $90. Haven't had a chance to really play with it yet, but they are supposed to be good machines.
