I have two Baldor 333B buffers and 220 power in my garage.

The first Baldor has amp rate of 4.6/2.4 and looks fresher.

The 2nd Baldor has amp rate of 6.6,3.3 and looks older

The 4.6/2.4 is currently wired for 220, the 2nd wired for 110.

I can rewire the 2nd buffer for 220 so my question is which should I keep being that the only difference I see is amp rating ( other than appearance). Thank you

Um, the bigger one of course. But why get rid of either?

Dibs on the one you get rid of!

A more productive answer: I have the 333B 4.8/2.4A version. I use for deburring and the power has been fine. I'd surely take another one! They are really nice machines.

Can you post the name plates from both? Assuming they are rated/measured the same way: the older one probably has a bit more grunt. Do you know how much use the older one has? Baldor buffers & grinders are pretty well built - easy enough to spin both up to check bearings.

FWIW - i have an older Jet sander which is identical to newer Jet/Grizzly models. Mine has a much higher amperage rating than the newer ones, but they actually do pull the same amperage. In my case: the amperage ratings on the old unit were...optimistic.
