Baldor 500 Tool Grinder

Something just crossed my mind. I do not trust grinding wheels that I have not stored myself. do a ring test and look for defects on the wheels if you plan on reusing them. the balder spins at 3650 rpm I believe turning a cracked wheel into a grenade, stand to the side when starting and let run for a few seconds before using. the ring test does not work on plate mounted wheels I would not think.

Thanks Tpic.
Well, I'll be buying a new wheel, the one you linked to, or the one
sea sick Steve linked to.
Steve, what is that company's shipping like.
I guess there both about the same.
Whoever is cheaper shipped probably gets the vote.
Wonder how many I pass at a flea market cause I didn't know what it was.
I actually think I got a wheel when I did Ian Kerrbys grinding jig. It worked out real well
Looked like a factory did the grinds.

You got me to thinking about the Grizzly Parts,
has anyone used the table off a grizzly grinder on a Baldor?

No,, I got a line on a used assembly, it would be cheaper than the grizzly parts.
