back shaft

I need to get the back gear and shaft off of my hendey. its a14by 5 some of you proud hendey lathes owners if you know any thing a bout the way to take it out. i sure would be thank full to get this machine finished and get to make some chips with it thanks for reading this and any help will sure nice gotogojo

Be sure to have the serial number and note it in the email. He is the guru of what's left of the Hendey Machine Works that built Hendey lathes.

EDIT: Just realize, these manuals don't really tell you how to disassemble or assemble things on the lathe itself. Back in those days, you were very lucky to get any kind of book with a lathe bought.
