Atlas 10f Reverse Gearbox Bearing

I don't know what Atlas did originally. All that I can say is that it worked well with the LR parts. The clutch pilot bushing couldn't be lubricated without pulling the gearbox and clutch, which takes about 5 hours out and in. Not something that you would want to do every 4000 miles!

The internet is truly a wonder when it comes to learning stuff!
My Atlas H54 had a completely shot bearing in the reverse box.
I searched and searched until I found this thread.
Bunton bearing pkg of 3=$14 from Graingers
I used a cheap bearing driver set from HFreight for my puller, aligning it with the help of a nylon bushing. PVC and a long 3/8 bolt did the rest.
It did help a lot to place the whole box in boiling water. The alignment of the fixture should be real close, and ATF helped me slide new bearing in.
Thanks again for contributing great ideas to the forum
