Was cleaning out a box of taps and dies that a friend gave me and found this old fellow in the bottom of the box. It looks like an antique for sure and is a bit worn and floppy but likely worth preserving. It is 3" x 4 1/2" and looks to be made of laminated waxed paper.

It looks like it may have been around for a few years. Any ideas as to its age? Do folks collect these things?

Sure. Looks like your collection has started. I have a old Lufkin one around here somewhere. They are neat. I'm not a collector of stuff like this, but if one showed up in things I buy, I keep it!

As for an age, my guess would be late 1940's to very early 1960's.

That is neat. I think 4gsr is right about age.

What a great find, I would build a display box and put it in with other vintage tools you may have/ find , something like this:

These Starrett display cases were found in ACE Hardware's. There was one near me till it burned out. :guilty:
