What is the proper way to anneal a saw blade? Right after the weld ,or after you grind it? I have always ground the weld first and then annealed it.
Thanks

I always annealed the weld before grinding. The way the Doall welder works, you anneal the weld before removing from the jaws of the welder. This is the only welder I've ever used. Haven't tried to tig weld a blade yet. It's in my bucket list probably at the bottom. I've had more welds to break after annealing and grinding than good welds. There's definitely a art to welding them. I think the bi-metal blades are more difficult to weld too in MHO.
