I picked up an early 40s 10L a few weeks ago, and I was looking for some sort of "pre-purchase/post-purschase inspection" that I should do. Sort of a health check if you will, to see what exactly needs attention the most. I've seen several posts about checking for play in the spindle bushings and of course changing the felts, but I wasn't sure if there was a community accepted "perform these XX tests, and address the issues they reveal" sort of thing floating around somewhere.
