A ran across an article in Projects in Metal, a now defunct web site, for a retractable cross slide modification to a Grizzly G 0602 by Jim Schroeder. That was 4-5 years ago and I really wanted to build it as I do a fair amount of threading and I've found resetting the cross slide on the Atlas every time tedious as the small dial is so difficult to read. I finally got it done and it is awesome! Adaptation to the Atlas was not terribly difficult. The bonus was a more easily read dial. I am going to revisit the graduated sleeve as I'm not happy with it.
