greetings
working on a jet 9x20 lathe considering about including a horizontal mill attachment to mine.
looking for comments - ideas - leads on models or build my own ( little soon for that )
This is another I ran across that is a casting kit that looks pretty nice. These folks have other casting kits you may be interested in as well. I purchased the cross slide for the Atlas lathe from them (A-11), as well as the filing machine kit (MLA-18). They are nice and their prices are reasonable. I plan to purchase the collet chuck at some point.
You can also look on Ebay for used ones. The ones for Atlas 10-12" lathes are maybe a match, but they tend to be expensive. The versions for 6" lathes might be a bit small, but more reasonable.
I bought one as attached you should be able to get one in US it fits the 9x20, works OK but the vice requires an upgrade. https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/L277
It's never too soon to learn. I personally would go with the one Charles built. He is a master at doing these things. He will be there every step of the way if need be. Many of us have 9X20s and we will all be there for you,
