I'm picking this up tomorrow morning for my son.
It works.
If I find an issue with it I'll ask for a discount.

I would wager that machine will be just fine. Old American Iron comes in many forms:grin:

Apart from bent/warped tables, the problem with these small jointers is they most likely have bronz bushings for the head support which, if worn, causes the head to jump up and down leaving a ripple finish. That's the way my dads old one is.

Do you think a guy with my machines could fabricate said bushings?
Always looking for a project

I bought it. She runs well.
No bushings, ball bearings that are held in the blade cartridge on both sides.
It needs a belt, a new cord and the three blades need touched up.
Sweet!
My son Tyson will be thrilled.

My Dad had a 10" table saw, a 6" jointer, and a 4x24 belt sander, all Rockwell/Delta from the 70's.
The belt sander died when I ran over it with the truck.:cautious:
The other machines still just carry on.

Ok,
The bearings are 10mm ID and 26mm OD X 8mm wide.
This should be a cake walk.

Amazon Prime, $6 delivered.
Thanks guys

Edit: The bearing numbers use to easily cross to industry numbers. Not any more.
