So looking at the machine the left side screw is the adjustment and the right side is to remove?

I want to pull the table off and clean the oil galleys and flush the pumper lines. Also try to adjust some of the backlash.

Does anyone know the procedure to take off table?

Also I will post a picture but why have just an allen head set screw for a table stop on the X-Axis? Probably so its only used sparingly?

And does anyone have a drawing or picture of the spindle cap and know what the thread is? Mine seems to be missing and am not sure why I would even need one.

Thanks

First Cut (and second) sorry its not actually cutting. Table was jumping a lot trying to climb mill. Switched it around and feed was smooth.

Got the table and screw off. Replaced the screw thinking i could adjust backlash a little.

Any tricks to it adjust in the middle of screw? Adjust both nuts or just one?

Flip the nuts left side goes to right 180 out and vice versa?

If it's like the No. 12, there's a threaded collar and a lock ring. The lock ring should be the one near the casting. Loosen the lock ring, screw the collar in until the backlash is minimal (check entire length of travel), retighten the lock ring.
