If the lights are single wire with common ground it gets interesting...
Mount to common steel so grounds connected then insure a SEPERATE 12 volt supply is used ONLY for these 2 lights.
Connect positive to one light, negative to other, result is lamps in series.
Does not need to be dc volts, a 12 VAC wall wart will work fine if enough capacity as it is just lamps.
