In our latest estate sale load, there was a Wesson boring bar.

Has some surface rust that came off.

1.5 inch diameter x 14 inches long.

Too big for our 16x54 Lodge & Shipley.

$50.00 plus buyers choice of shipping.

... a close up of the head, or a description of the insert it contained would be very helpful. Without knowing the insert, it is just a piece of steel.

The insert in it now is a simple tri-angle.

Here are some photos.

The insert is 1/2 inch flat square.

The socket is clean without burrs.

Looks like it has an insert fixed in the bottom with a somewhat tall space.

The insert that is in it may not be correct, it has a smaller one on top as a spacer.

The insert is held in via a top clamp and NOT a screw, so it seems it could use a few different types of inserts due to it being clamping and not screw held.
