What type of die set is this?

See them listed on EBay as die set for threading pipe. Could do rod too I suppose.

Armstrong brand. Old stuff. You probably will not find mfg. support for those tools, only old stock sold used. High quality tools, though.

They are obsolete then,the whole set is $35. great for vintage tool collectors.

There good if you need the sizes they are. They will outlast most new stuff if used correctly.

I have a set like that that was my grandfathers... Guessing it was from the 30/40's.

Or, even much older, possibly going back to at least the early 1900s.

I have a similar die set but the the dies are two ended, 1/2" on one end and 3/4" on the other.
