I'm curious how many people would be interested in having a social gathering of our group, including spouses if they wanted to come along (to commiserate?). I know I would like to meet some of these people! If there were 35 or fewer total interested we might be able to squeeze into my fairly small house in south Minneapolis. More than that probably wouldn't work.

My basement shop is small and not very "advanced" but some people might find some of my band instrument repair tools interesting. There's another member with a very complete shop a few blocks away and maybe he'd be willing to have a tour there.

I wish I had thought of this earlier this year. I know I won't have any Saturdays free in October, and November would probably be too cold to take advantage of my deck space. This could wait until this winter or even next spring or summer, but it is something to think about.

If anyone is interested in this idea they should reply to this thread.

I'd be interested.
I work rotating shifts though so not all my weekends are free.

I'm in.
Could be here in Dayton MN as well.
But, would like help in planning if it's here. Garage is heated.
Regardless, I'm on ambulance every other Saturday starting in October.

I'd be interested in coming up. I've got the day off

As always I would be interested as well. Maybe my luck will be with me this time and I won't be stuck out of town! Bill, I would be most interested in seeing some of your band instrument repair tools. I played both the cornet and the baritone when I was in jr. high and high school. My granddaughter is just learning to play the trumpet and she has a shiny brand new Bach that she is starting to learn on. I learned on a Blessing cornet which had been my uncle's and played it for the first year, then switched to the baritone. I don't remember what brand the baritone was, it was a rental from the school district.

I'm interested also, but you got to do it before this snow bird migrates south for the winter.

Im new here, but would be very interested. I'm in Rosemount. My schedule changes too but with notice I can usually get the day off. My house is full, daughter and 3 granddaughters and a horse size dog moved in but I will help in any way I can.

With Terry Werm being kicked off the site and Ugly Dog basically leaving too, I doubt anyone will get this going again.

Daryl has taken 1 of my classes and is a fake instructor. Please do not believe what you read. He is no expert rebuilder or scraper. Dennis also is a student, he knows more then Daryl, but again is not an expert in my opinion. I introduced Daryl to Dennis and the class schedule is a rip off on my classes. Really ticks me off. Daryl fails to tell folks the facts. A bit like fake news.
