good deals for you?

Interesting place. Has anyone dealt with them before? Do the machines they stock run, or is it as is kinda deal?

The other site doesn't seem to think to highly of that place

Been there.
You can walk through from open until close of day when they want to go home and not complete the tour.
They are clearly in the business of selling machines.
Buyer beware.
I'd inspect before you purchase and personally supervise the fork all the way to your truck/trailer.

Thanks for the info. I'm up in Canada, so visiting them is out, and since apparently they don't really know what they have, I'll stay away. Shame, they have a couple small surface grinders I was looking at...

My understanding is they are scavengers. They buy up assets (industrial surplus; parts, machines, etc.) from folded businesses and resell them. They sell so many different things they can't possibly know what they all are. They just put a price on and wait; if it doesn't sell, they lower and wait, repeat, until if nobody has bought it in so long they basically give it away. Because they have little clue what they are selling, their descriptions are very lacking. It can be very hard to search their website for something because the P/N isn't in the description or theyv'e called it the wrong thing; you have to browse, search is almost useless. They don't know if it works and it isn't worth their time to test it. They buy in bulk and move a lot of product. You can get some amazing deals there but it's sort of a gamble, and maddening to find what you want.

Been there 2x and found no bargains. Did buy a surface grinder off of Them and gave going price, could not get the price down. Machine runs ok. Some machines extremely grotty. No run, no test, Your machine inspection foo better be very good.
