Which brand of flashback arrestor do you guys favor for your Oxy- Acetylene Setups? I have a victor torch it has checkvalves but no flashback arrestor.

Also, is it necessary to go with flashback arrestors for both the regulator and the torch?

Thanks

I run Smith and follow their recommendations about what to use and location.
Which torch and regulators do you use?

I have a Victor 315 C handle and Victor 200 series Regulators (medium size body and gauges).

Just went to the welding store by me this afternoon. $90 for the Victor version there and the Harris version there for $50. $53 on Amazon buys the same Victor product for $90 at the Welding Supply. I can wait 2 days for $40.

Thanks guys,

Smith suggests I put my arrestors at the torch.
Be sure you identify and follow Victors recommendations.

Sometimes users supposedly have problems with arrestors clogging.
Please consider making sure that if you take you torch apart that you don't get grinding dust, slag or other in your torch, hose, regulators or arrestors.
Always take care to protect the threads and wrap any open fittings with a clean (not oily) bag or rag.
Some might suggest that I'm over the top. Well, they wouldn't be the first!!!
