What size clamping kit should I get for a Jet-16 Mill/Drill? Thanks for any help in advance!

:dunno:

I've got a jet 16. It uses the 1/2" studs and t-nuts.
My mill-drill also had metric feed screws which were close to 8tpi but not the same and the nut adjustment was horrible.
Had to replace all of it.
I'm machining new keys and plan to scrape the ways as the machine marks are clear in the dovetails.

It's metric 14mm slot with a 20mm T. I bought a Chinese 5/8" set from LMS still had to file/grind the Ts to fit the slots

You are so right. I did a quick check and the slots are about 0.570"wide so 14mm would fit well.
Thanks for the correction.

My mill drill also has 14mm slots. I'm using a 5/8" kit & just milled down the T-nuts. You can find 14mm or 9/16" clamping kits but they cost more cause they're not as common.

Not sure if it matters to you but I went with 5/8" cause I wanted 1/2" studs. If you get a 1/2" kit (undersized but will work) it uses 3/8" studs.
