Got it Done.

Lubricating oil is not cutting oil, but exactly the opposite. Diesel probably works great on aluminum, though I have not tried it. Kerosene works well...
You are correct about the kerosene, and it does not stink, as does diesel fuel; deodorised kerosene ( lamp oil) is even better from that standpoint .

I hear you on the pictures, my first step is to learn how to get the pictures out of the cell phone to where I can get them on the forum which is the second step. I have grand kids that can do this easily but they are seldom here and when they try to explain it to me it seems like they take 3 or 4 steps at a time. Hope I can get it before pushing up daisies. If I can cut a thread I should be able to send pictures.
With respect to diesel fuel I normally buy it in 25 gallon quantities for my 18 horsepower tractor, using it in the shop was to see how it would do; kerosene is an extra stop to the bulk fuel dealer and one more container in storage. I know many machinists use WD40 but I seldom have it on hand.
As I understand the use of subject fluids is to prevent build-up on the cutting tool, doesn't motor oil do this? No doubt I am missing something here.
Have a good day!

For a lot of people, the easiest way to get pics off the phone is to connect it to the PC with the USB cable. Then just find the phone under "My Computer" (assuming you're using Windows) and navigate to the pics (usually in a folder named "DCIM" or "Camera"). You might have to click around a bit to find the files but it should be fairly obvious.

If you have an Android phone (which is pretty much anything that's not an iPhone), after connecting to the PC you might have to swipe down from the top of the screen and select your connection type (connect for charging, connect for file transfer, etc.) before the phone appears under My Computer.

Once you find the storage location on the phone you can easily copy the files to any location on your computer. Just think of the phone as a fancy USB memory stick.
