Hello,
My name is Mark, I used to be a truck driver until some old timer decided he didn't like stop signs and blew thru one doing about 60. Now I'm what my wife calls a putterer (she says I'm always puttering around in my shop).
I used to take a lot of metal shop classes in high school and really liked it so I thought I might give it a shot again. In the last couple years since the accident I've managed to pick up an old logan/monkey wards 10 in. lathe and a harbor freight version of the rf30. I have also been collecting tooling and measuring tools.
So far I've only made a few little parts for my motorcycle and stuff for the lathe.
I have been lurking for a while, but now I finally joined up.

Welcome to "the club" Mark... There's a lot of great info here and a whole bunch of friendly AND knowledgeable guys to help you with any questions you may have.
Don't be afraid to ask. I have the same mill that you have. There is a HF forum that has some good info on that mill. Check it out...

Welcome Mark! Always room for another tinkerer/putterer here on the forums. :)

You'll love it here mark. I delivered new autos for 20 years, till a life changing accident in 2012. I'd never even seen a lathe operated, but I'm learning every day.
Thanks scruffy ron
