How accurate do the scales have to be . Or do the scales just need to be close so reader doesnt rub scales. Having hard time zeroing out scales .... Thanks
 
Call DROPros. Part of the extra cost of those DROs is the service and support after the sale. I understand that they are happy to explain things to you over the phone.

I installed an EL400 on my milling machine. I followed the video instructions to a 'T' and everything came out perfect. You should have received some steel separators, roughly 0.5mm in thickness, for the proper distance between the scale and the reader.
 
Got pieces of aluminum under scales to make them flat and worked perfect . And worked off of bolts from mill to bolt them to.
