Building a Pulse EDM machine

I may have no business commenting on someones derogatory comments but this time I will.

Hi Nelson,
I do not understand your comment so I am not sure how to take it.
I do not know why you quoted me.
I hope that nothing I said or posted was taken as derogatory, nothing of the sort was intended.
I have never posted anything disparaging or negative here.
I see no disparaging remarks in this entire thread.
I have no knowledge of "alloyavenue", "sandcrab" or an "Otzi" copper axe head.

Hi Robert, I went looking for a link someone posted in my EDM thread for an amazing electrode and it turns out it was YOU that posted it!

This is what I was talking about. These pics are of a hammer head done with a EDM and the copper casting to make it. Like I said maybe I should have said nothing. Sandcrab does some very nice work and I thought I recognized it. I was wrong for commenting.

Sandcrab does amazing things with a furnace for sure!

I finished up the flushing system in the work tank. It is plumbed with copper piping with a union at the submersible pump which is capable of about 9 PSI.

There is a 15 PSI gauge at the front outlet for the spin on filter to indicate when to change the filter.

I have a Little Giant, 1/8 HP, magnetic drive pump rated at 12 PSI to push the fluid through the system and filter.

It has a 1" NPT inlet and 1/2" NPT discharge.

The fluid filter will be made from a 22" length of 6" PVC schedule 40 pipe.

There is a cap cemented on the bottom and a flange cemented on the top.

The flange has .870" holes (for 3/4" bolts). I will make aluminum plugs, to press in these holes, tapped for 3/8-16 bolts that will hold an aluminum plate and gasket to seal the filter top. The filter will be set up to hold a 4" dia X 16" long felt bag filter.

More to come........

Is that copper plumping going to be affected by electrolysis?
It should not be a problem. The work is submeged in the fluid, and one electrical lead is attached to the electrode and the other lead to the work. The current flow is between only those two .

Mark , you must be chomping at the bit , she's almost ready to to strike . I'm following from my hospital bed on my fire pad. Still stuck in pain getting another shot Tuesday if it don't help I'm Jefferson bound in Philly. Tired of livin no life at all. Take care , watching for the first sparks.
