Is there such a thing as arbor adaptor?

A small precision adapter with inside and outside tapers over the entire length of the thin walls, hardened to take the loads, and then finish ground to fit correctly, is not a quick and easy project...

And most likely will cost a lot for what it is.

By the way, Ken -- Bill, bfd, is a friend of mine, we have a little informal machinist group in the area and we are both members... Bill is a really nice guy, and has done some really amazing things in his long machining career, including sending you a nice Albrecht chuck!

I couldn't agree more, there's no doubt in my mind about his kindness toward me , I was a complete stranger to him with not much history on this site.
It's too bad he doesn't visit this site or posts as often as we like.

I've been a member of a few different hobby sites from fishkeeping to auto detailing ,woodworking, welding, etc.etc, everyone of them has had a few that blew their own horn or would go against the grain or cause some kind of controversy, this place is so different that I just don't know where to begin, all I can say is that I'm glad to have found a whole bunch of knowledgeable and friendly individuals in a single place who have been genuinely kind towards me since I joined.
I know what I just said may sound Overly sentimental or affectionate in a cliche'd way but as a newcomer this has been my experience or the impression I got of this site.
Okay I'll stop now.:D
