That is the reason I built mine.( build threads on here). Those things go for crazy money and I wanted the telescoping fingers.
 
I don't know about the dimensions but the rest for the new 10K is only $185 new. I'm sure it could easily be modified to fit.

What is meant by telescoping fingers?
Looking at it gave me the idea that the fingers are spring loaded to contact the work and are then locked in place.

The fingers have a left hand thread in them and the adjustment knob has a right hand thread . This make them travel faster and longer distance in a shorter package. Adjusts similar to a micrometer. It is a nicer setup than the cheaper sliding fingers. It adjusts easier and more accurately with less hassle.
 
Ben wanting to make bearing fingers for mine. Any thoughts
 
Some one has them on eBay. You can slot the fingers and put bearings in them. If you have an original, I don't know how you would thread them as that thread tap is not available. That is why I had to change dimensions when I made mine. Changed to a thread that was available.
