If any of you guys have the material and willing to crank this one out, please let me know what the total cost would to be plus the shipping to 78750.

Material: steel, nothing exotic, not critical

Shape: round tube

Dimensions: turned, bored, and squared

OD - 3.0 inches or anything over, not critical
ID - 1.750
Length - 5.0 to 6.0 inches

Thank you.

I'll check my stockpile (scrap bins) to see if I have anything suitable. If I find something, I'll let you know. Good luck!

After searching all of my stockpiles, I was unable to find anything that was hiding your piece inside of it. Unfortunately, that means I am unable to help with this one. Good luck, though. Someone else probably has the piece you need hiding in their stockpiles. Just for curiosity's sake, what is this part for?

I can turn that up next week . What's the tolerance on the bore ?

I thou or so the length, not critical, just good enough for me to indicate before I bore and thread it.

Thank you for looking, looks like mmcmdl can do it.

As far as the intended use, I am getting a lathe with an oddball spindle nose thread, 52mm x 8 TPI, I read somewhere others call it 2 x 8 TPI. I will thread this piece I am sourcing for the spindle and finish it as an action truing and spider fixture for chambering barrels. I just need to get the lathe set up before I can duplicate the threaded nose and use it for gauge when I thread the fixture.

There are fixtures sold commercially, but they are meant to be chucked up. I am trying to minimize the effectuve length through the spindle, one of the reasons for the monolithic fixture. By my guess, omce sceewed on, the fixture usable length is about 4 inches, enough for me to put 2 sets of spiders screws.
