I'm in a process of making one as Elmer's plans.

Since I don't have a mill, sometimes I have to be creavive or use caveman tools like handsaw and files.

Looking nice, Waiting for the finished running project. And they use to make things without mills all the time,
 
Wow. I think these smaller things are harder to make properly than gargantuan stuff. Looking good!

Missing piston, valve and rod guide which will be in Nylon.
And flywheel. Will try do it with spokes :eek:

That is an interesting vise (in the "Milling Time" pictures). Could you include a better picture of it and maybe some info on it? I've never seen one like that - but I lead a sheltered life!

It's my "scrapyard milling attachment" basically it's a old lathe top slide mounted in an angle plate to give me the Z axis. It was discussed on: http://www.hobby-machinist.com/threads/scrapyard-milling-attachment.38416/#post-345893
